Report of the Inspection meeting of Gosberton Parish Council
held on Monday 12th June 2023
The Councillors met at the Cemetery in Wargate Way
Cemetery
Railings require painting
Tree’s by entrance – deadwooding and yew needs reducing and reshaping
Tarmac path by entrance needs repair
Spalling bricks on chapel require attention
Row markers required
Leaning headstones require checking for safety and uprighting as necessary
Weeding required around cremation plots
Strimming required around edges, headstones, kerbs, tree bases and banks
Narrow spray line needed along front wall/fence and around headstones and kerbs to reduce the need for strimming.
Elder bushes need to be removed from bases of trees
Risegate Memorial

Risegate Playing Field
Double gates to be secured with combination lock
Bin needs repairing
Picnic bench to be secured to concrete pad
Fence line to be sprayed
Field gate requires new bolt and adjustment
Garden Allotments
Verge to be cut
Prince Build notice board
Weeds to be sprayed
Map for reverse of notice board to be sourced
Village War Memorial
Flagpole to be cleaned
New rope required
Flagstones by bench and memorial require repointing
Old bench required wood stain
Village Playing Field
Hedgeline, fences, fort and edges of safety surfaces need strimming
Front hedge trimming late July (around gate urgent)
Rocking horse repairs still required
Backboard for basketball hoop needs to be sourced and installed
Extra bin needed near play equipment/ benches
