Minutes of the meeting of Gosberton Parish Council held on 3rd November 2025
 
Present: Cllr J Clark, T Smith, N Oakman, G Firth, S Weatherly-Barton, I Hobling, D Leworthy and F Newton (Clerk)
 
Also in Attendance: One MOP
 
Open Forum: MOP raised concerns about the footpaths and blocked drains in Gosberton Risegate. MOP advised to report issues on Fixmystreet and Clerk to also contact LCC Cllr King. MOP left meeting at 7.06pm
 
640. To resolve to accept Apologies for Absence and reasons given in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972 s85(1): Cllr Waudby and Ascough. Resolved to accept apologies and reasons given.
 
641. To receive declarations of interests and considerations for any requests for dispensations in accordance with the Localism Act 2011: no new declarations
 
642. To receive and approve the minutes of the meeting held on Monday 29th September 2025: Resolved to approve the minutes

646. To discuss appointing a representative to the Emergency planning team-  deferred to the next meeting

649. To discuss arrangements for Remembrance Day: Gosberton School 
Children will be attending on 11th, so should be someone available to read the names of fallen, no response from the Clough School. Cllr Leworthy or Clark’s son’s possibly available. 
 
650. To consider sale of wastelands- Sandiacre: Cllr Clark reported that Land agent is to value the plot, Clerk to enquire about any tax implications. Funds from sale are to be earmarked for village improvements.
 
651. To discuss arrangements for Xmas decorations in the villages: 
Clerk to contact Dist. Cllr King and Bingham regarding electricity supply from adjacent road signs/lamp posts.
 
652. To receive update on Community Speedwatch: Cllr Firth reported that dates have been set for Speedwatch in November and December. It was also suggested that the SID on the Boston Road should be moved if there are any other suitable posts. Cllr Smith reported that Saltfleetlby PC have had SID and batteries stolen and will look into any preventative measures that can be taken in our area.

655. To receive reports from other committees: Cllr Leworthy reported that the Unknown Donors committee have held a meeting, the land issues have been resolved and a payment to the PC is to be made, but no amount agree and legal fees still ha be paid. Cllr Weatherly-Barton h6thanded out information regarding the Public Hall event on 6th December which is to be advertised.
